Introducing two new timepieces from Vyntage Horology

The latest examples of Vyntage Horology's singular vision are The Monograph Blue and the limited edition Purity Mosaic.
Vyntage Horology Purity Mosaic
The Purity line is Vyntage's time-only collection — the simple-yet-contemporary 39mm steel case housing a manually wound movement with small seconds arranged in a distinctive alignment, both the crown and seconds subdial are shifted 45 degrees from the traditional position, enhancing wrist ergonomics and adding a certain flair to the otherwise restrained design. What truly makes this particular Purity model stand out is, of course, the dial.
Creating an effect of shimmering tessellation, the shard-like mosaic pattern of the dial is created from four shades of mother-of-pearl —shifting from light to dark blue. It's a powerful pattern, bringing to mind great works of art or perhaps just the harmony of seemingly fragmented pieces forming a perfect whole. On its own, the multi-coloured mosaic is an impressive design, but the use of the softly shining mother-of-pearl as a material adds an even more refined and dramatic feel to this special dial. The hands and hardware are silvered, perfectly contrasting with the cool blue tones.
While it's understandable that the dial of the Purity Mosaic receives the lion's share of the attention, the movement is also worth celebrating. With 90 hours of power reserve and a pleasing radiant polish focused on the balance cock, this watch makes for a remarkable celebration of the art of mosaic.
Vyntage Horology Monograph Blue
Visually simpler and mechanically more complex, the Vyntage Monograph Blue is a 40mm titanium monopusher chronograph that echoes the blue theme of the Purity Mosaic but executes it in a more pared-back manner. The dial here features a dramatic gradient, smoked from black to blue, a look made more dramatic thanks to the grained dial texture. On top of that, the bright rhodium-coloured Hindi numerals applied to the dial stand out crisply against the smoky backdrop.
Not all the fine detail is reserved for the dial, though — the case has plenty of thoughtful details found in high-end watchmaking. The crown is a softly domed onion shape, contrasted with the sporty pump-style pusher, and the case profile features scalloped lines for a more dynamic profile.
Speaking of profiles, the chronograph is comparatively slender, at 14.2mm (including the domed sapphire crystal), thanks to the manually wound Swiss monopusher chronograph movement, with its 30-minute register. This movement is cam-actuated and comes with 48 hours of power reserve, making it a durable and pragmatic option for a daily chronograph. The Monograph Blue comes with a radiant blue calfskin strap and an additional black rubber strap for maximum versatility.
